The events of the past few weeks have forced us to reflect deeply on the challenges facing the Black community as well as our industry.

It has been a time of reflection, listening and learning for us.

Agency Guacamole stands in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter Movement and we’ve been having honest conversations with the team about what we can do to make a positive impact, where there is room for change and how we can take concrete actions to further this cause.

Team AG is proud to be a diverse group, made up of POC, immigrants and members of the LGBTQ community. We not only celebrate inclusion and diversity, we live it every day. But we can always grow and do more, especially as it relates to our Black brothers and sisters. 💚

You may recall that in 2018 we created the B.L.N.D. initiative and launched an event series in New York City. The acronym stands for Beauty, Lifestyle, Nurturing Diversity, and we continued the program last year in Los Angeles. We wanted to showcase leaders from different areas of our industry to have real-talk conversations about D&I, specifically around the ongoing challenges, opportunities and inspiration in the beauty and lifestyle world.

We realize this conversation is more relevant and important than ever, with grassroots campaigns like #PullUporShutUp calling on beauty brands to publicly share diversity and inclusion practices—and representation of Black employees—within their companies.

We are in the process of building a plan that not only takes the B.L.N.D. initiative to the next level, but evaluating different parts of our business to ensure we’re continuously supporting Black creators and artists.

This is going to be a long and collaborative process where we are all going to have to lean on each other to learn, evolve and see real change.

To create an equal society, we must be anti-racist and consciously commit to fighting to end racism in all aspects of our lives.

All lives can't matter until #BlackLivesMatter. ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼✊🏻
